The Community College of Philadelphia Library offers group study rooms designed to provide students with a comfortable and collaborative environment. These spaces are intended for small groups of students who wish to engage in cooperative study, work on group projects, or prepare for class presentations. Study rooms are not available for formal classes, lectures, seminars, or student club meetings.
Reservations are required to use a study room. Users may reserve a room for up to two hours per day, with reservations available up to 60 days in advance. Once a reservation is placed, a confirmation email will be sent immediately. Reservations must be confirmed within one day; otherwise, the booking will be cancelled.
Access to the rooms is managed through the Circulation Desk (L1-04). To use a study room, students must check out a key from the desk. At the end of their reserved time, users are expected to lock the room and return the key promptly. Replacement costs will apply for any lost keys.
To ensure a clean and welcoming space for all, food is not permitted in the study rooms. Beverages are allowed only if they are in containers with secured lids, such as travel mugs. Students are also asked to respect others by keeping noise to a minimum, as the rooms are not soundproof, and by leaving the space as clean—or cleaner—than they found it.
